It's all about the glass!
Glass is a medium like no other. It is solid and hard, it can crack, it is sharp and it can cut you, but really it is a liquid. You can sculpt with it, you can paint with it, you cut it, shape it, make it crack - anything you want with the right flame and heat control. There is just so much you can do with a flame and a glass rod that it is a never ending learning experience and I think that is what draws me to the art of lampworking.
I have been working with glass for over a year and I have no plans on stopping anytime soon. I am looking forward to teaching lampworking in the near future.
I am a member of the Self Representing Artists community (Number M-69). This is a group of glass artists who create their own works of glass art to collect or to sell and abide by a code of ethics to provide the customer with quality handmade glass art.
